ATTEA D AX CE INCREASING. The most inspiring and yet searching
sermon of the meetings was given at
the Methodist church last night. Miss Nichols, dealt with the privileges and blessings of the Christian life and showed how we help or hinder the kingdom of God within us. A true and thoroughly sane word was given concerning amusements. She showed how the common indulgence In worldliness dulls and dissipates Christian life until there is only the formal profession left. Her position was, that the tree is judged by the fruit. The fruit of worldly amusements do not promote Christ-like spirit and service. Miss
Nichols may bring helpers with her
this evening. Mrs. L. L. Bomberger will sing two numbers at this service. HAVE PLEASANT PARTY. The members of the Fleurdelis club gave" a very delightful party in honor of the seventh wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Smith at their home in Kane avenue last evening. Progressive pedro was the entertaining feature of the evening. Eight games of the popular pastime were enjoyed after which the hostess served a very delicious luncheon. The honors, of the games were won as follows. "For the ladies, first price, Mrs. Keyser; second prize, Mrs. Patzke; consolation prize,
Mrs. Krolwetz. For the gentlemen, first
prize, Mrs. Walker; second prize, Mr. Muehlberger; consolation prize, Mr. Keyser. The following people were
present: Messrs and Mesdames. Glasgow, Kosher, Keyser, Walter Luthman. Camp, Kralowetz Cook, Huber,
Muehlberger, Patzke, Smith, Mrs. Kral
owetz, Mrs. Nichols, Ora Nichols and
Mr. Walker.
AX INFORMAL DANCE.
The members of the Masonic Social
club entertained at a dancing party
last evening in the Masonic temple for
the members and their many friends
The party was one of the pleasantest affairs of the season, although it was not as largely attended as former parties, owing to Lent. The guests were
received informally during the even
ing and dancing began at S-.ZO?' The party was informal, no programs be
ing used. The music was furnished by a four-piece orchestra and a pretty program was rendered during the
serving of refreshments at 12 o'clock.
The committee deserves great credit for the success of the party and the post-Lenten party promises to be even
pleasanter and more largely attended
