HOLD BUSINESS MEETING. The second result business meeting (for the present club year) of the Hammond Woman's club was held at the Masonic temple Saturday, January 9. Mrs. Jeannie Sawyer, vice president of the club, presided; there were thirtysix members present. The treasurer reported $427.92 in the treasury. Mrs. Klein reported $43 for the sale of red cross stamps. Mesdamea W. C. Harrison. Ed. Simon, A. K. Thompson, Anna Moran and Nellie Stewart were unanimously elected members, making the club members about 180. r A district meeting of the various Wotnans' clubs of the tenth, congressional district will be held in Hammond on April 17 Mrs. Edith Griffin is district Chairman. Subjects of Interest to club members will be discussed and a rare a promised those who attend.
