EAST CHICAGO. DeSylvia at Lewis Eink. The Chicago trick skater at the Lewla' skating rink last evening attracted a large crowd to the popular amusement house. De Sylvia was at his best and performed his feats with the ease and gracefulness. His crowning effort was the skating with one foot upon an Inclined board, making a tenfoot leap to the floor, landing on one foot and skating the entire length of the hall blindfolded. He was cheered to the echo when the feat was performed. De Sylvia has also been engaged for this evening, and will perform his difficult feats after the ladies' skatlrig races..
The Choral society of the Congregational church will meet this evening for their final rehearsal before the cantata of tomorrow evening. - Messrs. A. G. Lundquist and W. W. Moberly of the Harbor attended last (night's meeting of the city council. Miss Laura Gould of South Chicago was the guest of Miss Gertrude Saager of Magoun avenue yesterday. j E. W. Wickey was a Crown Point visitor yesterday, attending the Simmons' legislative contest. Max Nassau, the jeweler, is displaying good bargains for holiday shop pers. ' It Mose Specter will receive his commission for the postoffice supervision this afternoon, and will probably take the charge of the office on Thursday. The Nonpareil club will be entertained at the home of Miss Agnes Bloomberg on Melville avenue Thursday evening. Miss Bloomberg's delightful personality assures the guests of a splendid evening session of their social club.
