EAST CHICAGO. P. Bllleter and Miss Mary Reeee were visitors at the Lewis skating rink last evening. The Embroidery Circle will meet at the home of Mlsa Anna Edmonds on Baring avenue this evening. The. girls expect to complete their linen shower articles before long, and have them in readiness for the early December shower on one of the members. Mrs. J. Billeter ot Magoun avenue has returned from a week's visit with relatives in Allertown, 111. Mrs. A. H. YV. Johnson will entertain the members and guests of the Tuesday Reading Circle this evening at her home on Magoun avenue. The feature of the evening will be a musical program, in which local talent along musical line3 will be presented. Principal C. H. Holway of the Indiana Harbor schools will deliver a brief talk on a suitable topic. Price of admission at the Lewis' rink in East Chicago hass been reduced to 10 cents. 11 Mrs. Homer Smith of Frankfort, Ind., is spending a few days at the home of her parents, Rev. and Mrs. J. H. Palmer, of One Hundred and Forty-eighth street. Misses Jennie and Louise Cochrane of Todd avenue are expected home this week from a visit with relatives in Janesville, Wis.

Palmer reports the addition of twenty new members to his flock on Sunday morning. A spirited revival is being prosecuted in his church this week, and the pastor believes that it will not he without Its effect upon the citizens of East Chicago. His sermons are interesting and : filled with a convicning power to sunh an extent that it is really, a pleasure to hear ..his-services.. Nels Jacobson, Congressman Crumpacker's private secretary, of Valparai--so was an East Chicago visitor yesterday afternoon, visiting H. L. McCoy.

of St. John and the surrounding vicinity are looking forward to an en
tertainment which will be given tomor
row and Thursday evenings in the Forester hall, under the auspices of the
Young Ladies' Sodality.
The program in the main will be car
ried out by the pupils of the St. John
paroachial school, and the indications are that the hall will be crowded on
both nights. The home talent enter
tainments have proven very popular In
St. John and this one promises to be
just as successful as those of past years. The program is a long one and will furnish amusement for several hours. The doors open at 6:30 and the program begins at 8 o'clock.
