of the chorus and lovers of music. This
was the fifth annual 'concert given by the chorous under the able direction of Professor Clark Learning, who has

mond his home for many years, very few people have had an opportunity of hearing him- In publio as his time is greatly taken ur in concert work In
Chicago. His selections called forth great applause and Mr. DIederich responded with other beautiful ' opera
numbers. , . '

ARRESTED ON SUSPICION. A suspicious looking man carrying a wheat sack, heavily laden with bundles, was arrested last evening late, on the outskirts of Homewood. When the man, who proved to be O. O. Brown, of Crown Point, was searched, it was found the sack contained one man's suit, thre shirts, men's underwear, one ladies' skirt, two suits for boys and eight pairs of shoes. Brown showed the officer his cash sub receipts given him by the clerks at The Chicago Brokerage company sale of Faxton & Baker Co's stock. He considered It all a good joke and says the prices on merchandise was so cheap that he could not resist buying something for every member of his family.

You cannot be over-careful in the selection of medicine for children. Only
the very gentlest bowel medicine should ever be given. Ordinary pills, carthartics and purgatives are too apt to do more harm than good. They cause griping, nausea and other distressing after-effects that are frequently health destroying and a lifelasting annoyance. dangerous part of his sickness is past.
Before Mr. Crumpacker went to the hospital his friends and relatives were very much worried over his condition. It was feared that blood poison would set in and that even death might result, but now he is very much better and there seems to be no doubt of his complete recover. Mrs. Crumpacker spends every day in Chicago at his bedside and this morning reported that her husband is very much better and will probably be out in a few days.
