A piano costs a large snim of money. This is true even of a cheap one and often a buyer thiiVtts it wise to get the opinion of some outsider before purchasing. . This affords the supposed friend a chance' to make-arrangements with the piano dealer, and as a result, there is small chance that the customer will get a square .leal In the matter of Price. And this system is so outrageous as the sliding scale scheme or the oily salesman, for often the sup posed friend frets a commission from both the piano house and the customer. . .' "The Devil" fad, is raging: in the East, long: poiutvd shots, sharp tipped lapels and the long V vf-st ia quite the proper aper for male atirp. .-. We anticipate quite a startling revelation in female of' fashion as to head dress, after the pres- I
entation of Frank Molnars original "Devil" at Towle's tonight. The theatrical manager of a decade ago ua to-beI4eve that when a play has been, established in public favor, that any kind of a cast could be em
ployed to exploit it before the public and for that reason and no other can great many of them scribe tnelr'ul-' timate failure. Not so with W. E. NankeVille, manager oft "Human Hearts," which comes to ns on Sunday, November 15, matinee and night. Mr. Nankeville has always! maintained that the best is none too good J or ; the public, and if by any possible chance he can better Jiis companies, liec.never fails to do so. It is to this policy he attributes the wonderful success of "Human Hearts' with the theater going public. One of the finest specimens of horse flesh ever seen- on the American stage is to be seen in "Montana," the play of the West by Harry D. Carey. The horse in question is "Dolly . Varden " the famous $5, 000,000 Morgan mare. Her work in "Montana" is all but human and by those who know she has been pronounced the greatest acting horSe on the stage today. A special car Is required for the transportation of Dolly beside her hostler, who is at all times with her. At Towle's opera house next Wednesday matinee and night. Eriefs.
