HAS PLEASANT MEETING. The members of Sewing Circle No. 1 of St. Margarets Hospital spent a pleasant afternoon yesterday at the home of Mrs. Joseph Knoezer In Clinton street. About twenty members of the society were present and played pedro during the afternoon; the prizes were won by Mrs. Kussmaul and Mrs. Fred Humpher a.nd Mrs. Beckman was awarded the consolation prise. At the close of the ;ames the hostess served her guests with dainty refreshments. The society will meet again in two weeks at the f home of Mrs. Jacob Weis in Douglas Htret.

(Special to The Times). Crown Point, . Ind., Oct. 2. Mrs. Frank Henderlong. of North Main street died at noon today after giving birth to a child which could not live. Her death having been so unexpected,
her friends and neighbors are greatly
shocked at the news, and much sym
pathy is expressed for the bereaved
family. 1
The deceased, is survived by a three-
year-old daughter and her husband, Frank Henderlong, who is at the head of the Henderlong Lumber company.
She was the second wife of Mr. Hen
derlong and was a daughter of George
Emmerling Sr. and a sister to George
and Nicholas Emmerling of Hammond.
The deceased was a member of St.
Mry's Catholic church, and as such "her funeral will take place next Monday
morning at 9 o'clock. The deceased was 47 years old.

MASONS GET NEW ALLEYS. - The local Masonic order has just receveide some fine new bowling alleys, whiclj are to he placed in the basement of the Masonic temple for the use of the members.
