CROWN POINT NEWS
i Boom on the Wave. The much heralded and vaunted Sryan boom is on the wane and many of the democrats are wondering how they were ''taken in" for the third term. Funny, but most of them that rejected him at the second throw, look quite foolish when asked why they indorse him now, and have a sort of a forlorn hope" expression on their faces when they explain "why it is." It's an awful pill to swallow "Roose. velt's heir" that he won't acknowledge as such, and at the same time disparage everything that the same Roosevelt stands for and indorses in Taft. Inconsistency, verily thy name is a democrat this year, and thou art laying bigger traps each day. And the end Is not yet.

Gun Club Holds Meeting.
The Crown Pint Gun Club members
met at their grounds west of town yes
terday and while the local members di dnot shoot over twenty out of a possible twenty-five, they had the
pleasure of witnessing a north county man, in the person of Frank Hammond, of Hammond, make a clean score in the twenty-five bird shoot, breaking the record of the club members and also the record of the grounds here. In another exhibition shoot at a possible seventyflve birds, Hammond succeeded in breaking seventy-two, and made a clean run of thirty-nine birds before failing to break. Hammond's feat is considered extraordinary, taking into consideration the weather, with a brisk wind blowing, which interfered with perfect scoring. The following is the list of the best shooting done yesterday. Hammond, 25; Youche, 20;. Horst, 20; Foss, 20; Keiser, 19; Swartz, 17; Thomas, 17; Stuhlmacher, 16. ' In the shoot off between Youche, Horst and Foss, Youche won with nine out of a possible ten, and holds the medal for the week.
