There will be a class for boys between 10 and 12 o'clock tomorrow morning and one for girls fro m2 to 4:30 In the afternoon. Mrs. Klingensmith will be In the hall after 8 o'clock every Saturday morning where she will make appointments with prospective studenct. Mrs. Kllngensmith has been preparing to teach danc ing for a number of months. She has studied under . some of the best danc ing professors in Chicago and is well equipped for the work that she is undertaking. Mrs. Klingensmith realizes that the parents of a great many Hammond chil dren are becoming convinced or tne fact that dancing is a.n accomplishment that not only makes a child more grace ful, but that it puts them at their their ease when they are out in company and gives them a polish which could not he secured so well in any other way. From the number of inquiries which Mrs. Klingensmith has had regarding her classes, it Is apparent that thy will be a success from the very start. EXJOY PLEASAST MEETIXG. Mrs. Albert Maack of Crown Point was the guest of Mrs. W. C. Belman at her home In Glendale and yester day afternoon attended the' reception at the home of Mrs. F. C. Deming. SPEND WEEK HERE. The Martha society of the First Chris tian church met yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Price in Sommer street .and several matters of importance were laiscussea. .rians were made ror a bazaar and dinner which will be given in the near future, although the exact date has not been decided. Following the business meeting a social hour was hld and refreshments were served. The .next meeting on Thursday afternoon 'will be held at the home of Mrs. John M. Stinson in May street, and the la dies will enjoy a social work day. The afternoon will be spent sewing for the bazaar. HAVE PLEASANT PARTY. A very pleasant surprise party was 'given in honor of Mrs. Charles Rosen heim yesterday afternoon at her home, 524 Indiana avenue. Deming entertained at a large reception yesterday afternoon beginning at 2:30 o'clock at her beauti ful residence in Homewood. Ninety invitations were issued to ladies of Hammond, Crown Point, and Michigan City and fully eighty guests rede re ceived between 2:30 and 3:30 o'clock, Little Miss Florence Deming .received at the door and showed the guests up stairs, where they were met by Eleanor Deming and Eilene Reiter. Mrs. Dem ing received in the pjfrlor, with Miss Deming of Michigan City. A very delightful program was ren dered, the Miss "Waters of Oak Park, Miss Deming of Michigan City, and Mrs. Li. L. Bomberger entertaining the guests during the afternoon. Miss Waters gave several readings, showing grtat talent in the tragical as well as in the amusing. Among her selections were several clever readings in Irish and small child's dialect, which were thoroughly enjoyed. Miss Deming gave two very pretty violin numbers. She was accompanied by Miss Anna Ibach. Mrs. Bomberger accompanied by Mrs. Xellie Bicknell Dunham sang several beautiful soprono solos. In her response to an encore, she sang "Sing Me to Sleep,' with the piano and violin accompaniment. After the program the guests were sereved with a dainty coure luncheon in the dining room where the decorations were very beautifully carved out in red. A handsome center piece of Jack roses was used on the table. 'Mrs.. J. Q. Ifcach and Mrs. V. S. Reiter presided at the

table and the Misses Anna Ibach and Ruth Sohl served. The homo was very artistically 'decorated with early fall garden 'flowers and foliage." ; The ' parlors and music room were done la pink and white. All the members of the club were present and Mrs. Herrlngton and Mrs. Webber were among the guests. Pedo was played during the afternoon and the prizes were won by Mrs. Ray Fowler and Mrs. Fred Bull. Mrs. Harvey Cleveland was awarded the consolation prize and Mrs. Herrington the guests's prize. Following the games the hostess served her guests with a delicious course luncheon. The attendance was very good and the proceeds will be used for charity fund. Young, a railroad man employed in the Gibson yards, suffered a severely injured foot this morning when a heavy piece of iron fell on him. Reiter, whose trip to Indianapolis yesterday made it necessary to adjourn court for the day, is back on the bench this morning and the court was crowded with attorneys from all over the country. The court house and the clerk's office were the busiest places in the city this morning and it is apparent that Judge Reiter is facing the busiest term that the Lake superior court has ever had.
