laid aside when a search of her room disclosed a farewell note written to the
man she hoped some day to be her husband, George Mansfield, a traveling salesman of El Paso, Texas. - The message on the paper was addressed, "My Dearest George." On the

lake her aunt became afraid and had her sent to the Rest home, a private
sanitarium at 5642 Washington avenue
where she received special attention from Dr. Julia C. Strawn. In two
weeks she was so close to complete Oct
recovery that Mrs. Field believed it
would be all right to trust her with
Mrs. Jensen.
On Thursday of last week she re
turned to the sanitarium and told Miss May Church, one of the proprietors,
that "George became so alarmed over her not answering his letters that he
telegraphed her and papa wired back
that she was progressing nicely and
would soon be recovered." Gets Away From Nurse.
Wednesday afternoon the girl eluded
her caretaker and wandered over into the park. Mr. Field happened to be
looking out of a front window and started after her. He missed her and then asked Park Policeman George
Campbell If he had seen "a crazy wo
man walking by. It was this remark that finally led to the girl's iden
tification.
Meanwhile Mrs. Jensen missed her
and overtook her in the park. Miss
Werne upbraided her for Interfering.

Bartlett, Patten & Co. With the return of speculative activity in wheat, we look for a higher range in prices. It looks as though the shorts In September corn were facing an unpleasant experience. Logan & Bryan We believe we shall see much higher prices for wheat. McKenna & Rodgers While the general condition In wheat is rather bullish we do not see anything to cause much of a change in the market. Ware & Leland We believe we would much prefer to await a moderate dip in wheat before making purchases which will prove attractive. Clement. Curtis & Co. Wheat ought
