RETURNS FROM " VACATIOX. - Misses Isabelle, .Morrison . and Pearl Barget are expected home Sunday from a two weeks' vacation spent, at Paw Paw Lake, Wis. HAVE LAWN. SOCIAL. A very pleasant and successful lawn social was given last evening in Harrison park by the members of St. Paul's Lutheran league and the north side band. The park was lighted with Japanese lanterns. The band of the north side church furnished a pleasing program of music during the' evening which was enjoyed by all who attended. Ice cream and cake were served from tables set in the park. The social was very largely attended and the proceeds will be divided between the two churches and used for their benefit. ' SOCIAL A SUCCESS. The members of the Christian Endeavor of the First Christian church gave a very enjoyable lawn social last evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Barnett, 833 Summer' street. Several pleasant out of door games were enjoyed on tho lawn, which was prettily lighted with Japanese lanterns. Several flashlight pictures were taken of the guests. At the close of the evening a dainty luncheon was served to the. guests. There was an attendance of about twenty-five young people and the proceeds of the social will be used for the pledge made toward the new church building fund. LEAVES FOR THE EAST. J. Sharp at her home in Summer street. The ladies met at the home of Mrs. John Jones In May street and went from there to tlje home of Mrs. Sharp where they had a fruit shower In her honor.
