Dust Keeps Autos Away. Not as many automobiles came to town yesterday as on some of the previous Sundays and the cause Is laid by many to the extreme dusty condition of the roads which makes automobiling anything but a pleasure. Several automobile parties from Chicago passed through town, with Cedar Lake and the Kankakee river as their destination, but our streets were minus the usual noise and odor of the gas wagons.

republican candidate for sheriff, was alone worth the time and effort spent. If Tom runs as good a race this fall as he did Saturday, Sheriff Carter will have to scrape all the mud off his shoes to come under the wire first.
