new saloon and hotel on tne come, of Main and Joliet streets, which has Just been remodeled by the owner. Charles Frederich of Hammond. Builds Addition to Plant. Otto Greutner, the florist, is still building additions to his already large plant and when completed will have the largest green houses in this part of the state One florist here ships large consignments of cut and potted plants every day to Chicago, and it is said that their quality is such, that they are in the greatest of demand by the city dealers. Their local business is hardlv a "drop in the bucket" in comparison with their city trade, but the location and soil seems to be favorable to their interests and our two concerns of this kind represent the expenditure of thousands of dollars. Hold Last Meeting. The O. A. M. club held their last reg

Dr. Pratt took a ride in an automobile last week and Doc's description of the journey is graphic and sensational In the extreme. Winding up Doc says that the telephone poles along tin-

The machines are working evenings in the offices at the court-house, so as not to interfere with the operations of the officials during the day. Fred Ruff is contemplating erecting a modern dwelling on his Court street property in the near future.
