Indiana, which ranks third In Its number of women's clubs, has the largest representation from outside New England of all states, and was the first to open headquarters and begin active operations at the big convention of women's clubs. lhe Indiana delegates are anxious that Mrs. O. P. Kinsey of Valparaiso, Ind., take an active part In the contest for the presidency of the national federation. That she Is most eminent ly qualified to fill the position is the contention of the Indiana women. Mrs. Kinsey is declared to be averse to making a fight. Of course, if the presidency should be forced to her, unundoubtedly she would accept. However, there seems to be little chance of any candidate winning the president's seat without a contest. The presidential canvassers for Mrs. Philip N. Moore of St. Louis have been active and the Southern woman's chances are declared to look best, although there are many eastern women who are supporting Mrs. Mary Alden Ward of Massachusetts.
