Miller We rather feel that th

chances favor the market remaining

steady for a little while with a trading affair and stocks a buy on breaks and sale on rallies. Financial Bureau Union Pacific may have a sharp rally any time now but is not likely to hold. The same may be said of Southern Pacific, Reading and Northern Pacific. They should all be confidently bought on heavy activity for turns. Wo continue unfavorable to St. Paul, B. and O, Smelting, as well as Anc, which may be sold on rallies for turnse. Some supporting orders toward 60 are reported In Amalgamated Commer and around 58 In Mop.. White We may see a little further advance, but we are so near the harvest that any bulge will be only tem

porary and offers an opportunity to sell

wheat to advantage. .... .-.-

.Ware & Leland It seems to be es

sentially a weather proposition .and

continued excessive wet would easily

have an effect on wheat values.

Famous Irish Hill. From a very early date until the sixth century the famous Hill of Tara-

was the chief meeting place of

the Irish kings. The palace and royal banqueting hall were built on it, and

visitors are still shown a pillar which is supposed to have been the ancient

coronation stone. It was the site of a

university, and the center of Irish learning, and a place of gathering for the Druids and musicians. Between the second and the fifth centuries it was the scene of triennial assemblies, and in 9S0 it witnessed a crushing defeat of the Danes.

Man's Mission as a Citizen. Some have said that it is not the business cf private men to meddle with government a bold and dishonest saying, which is fit to come from no mouth but that of a tyrant or a slave. To say that private men have nothing to do with government Is to say that private men have nothing to do with their own happiness or misery; that people ought not to cpneern themselves whether they be naked or clothed, fed or starved, deceived or Instructed, protected or Uestroyed4 Cato, the Elder.
