Order of Foresters will be twenty-
five years ' old tomorrow. The stiver
ubilee will be celebrated by a monster
demonstration In the Coliseum. A male chorus of 1,000 voices will furnish the music of the occasion, and among the prominent speakers will be Arch
bishop Qulgley, Bishop Muldoon, Julius A. Collier of Minnesota. John F.
Doherty of La Crosse, Wis., and T. X. Bllodeau of Montrael.
Chicago was the birthplace of the
Catholic Order of Foresters. The order
was organized here May 24, 1833. Af
ter several years of hard effort courts were started In other states and in
Canada. It has about 130,000 members
now, and its yearly beneficiary pay
ments exceed $1,250,000. The member
ship Is increasing $10,000 a year. 111!

delivery, who spoke on the subject.

a measure which has been prepared
providing for a parcels post delivery In
the rural districts at a cost of 5 cents for the first pound and 2 cents for each additional pound. Mr. Spllman showed
how a local parcels post would be of
great benefit to the farmers. He esti
mated that such a system would bring revenues to the government amounting to $15,000,000 a year.
Mr. Spllman said that the postmaster
general had prepared this bill and would urge congress to pass It.
