Living Pile of Flesh and Bones Makes Toner to Support 300-Ponnds Man. A living human pile of flesh and bones weighing over half a ton, and supported upon the backs of four kitchen chairs was one of the thrilling spectacles at the Towle opera house last evening. Dr. Flint presented this scene by special request of some personal friends in the audience. After testing several of the young men on the stage he selected the five best suited to his purpose, and placed them in a state of absolute rigidity through magnetic influence. Two of the these were placed with their shoulders and heels resting upon the backs of four kitchen chairs. Then two more men were placed crosswise of these two .and still a fifth crosswise of the latter two. . Then Dr. Flint, who weighs over three hundred pounds
stood upon the topmost man, making
what is considered one of the most convincing of all demonstrations ef magnetic catalepsy., Mrs. Flint, not" to be outdone, also presented some unusual scenes. Her program, as on the previous evening, was entirely new, and there was a laugh in every situation. An especially funny scene was that in which the young men were given the suggestion that they were afraid of mice, and were then sent scampering in every 'direction when some Imaginary rodents appeared. The Flints are here tonight and tomorrow night, and every scene presented those two evenings will be entirely different from anything that has been seen earlier in the week.

While Thomas E. Knotts Is working took and nail to get rid of the postmastership of Gary, James Bowlby, who is employed by the Steel company, and John Call are running neck and neck to land the position. They are
jboth pulling their wires until they are hot and it expected that within the
next few days signed petitions will go to Congressman Crumpacker. Knotts' bond expired on March 31, and the postmaster of Gary is now without bend contrary to the federal law. Nor is Tom making any effort to get a bond. The post office has been raised to a third class office and while the postmaster is receiving, the salary of a third class postmaster his expenses owing to the big business equal those of a second class office. For this reason Mr. Knotts wants to resign.
