Mrs. Ernest L. Shortridge was then ejected to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. Groinan two weeks ago. The hostess read a very fine paper on "Mary, Queen of the Scots." After an entermission Mrs. Gibbs led in the table talk and then the critics gave their report. Mrs. Allman served light refreshments and the club was then adjourned to meet next Thursday with Miss Peterpen. The following Crown Pointers left for Indianapolis yesterday to attend and take part in the Republican state convention now being held there: Harry B. Nicholson, Otto J. Bruce, Chas.
