The Woman's study club met at the home of Mrsi Walter T. Allman on Tuesday afternoon. The meeting was called to order by the president, and the minutes of the former meeting were read and approved. Mrs. Ernest L. Shortridge was then ejected to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. Groinan two weeks ago. The hostess read a very fine paper on "Mary, Queen of the Scots." After an entermission Mrs. Gibbs led in the table talk and then the critics gave their report. Mrs. Allman served light refreshments and the club was then adjourned to meet next Thursday with Miss Peterpen. The following Crown Pointers left for Indianapolis yesterday to attend and take part in the Republican state convention now being held there: Harry B. Nicholson, Otto J. Bruce, Chas. Monday i evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hayward on Main street, 'the "housekeepers" gave one of their famous six o'clock dinners, known as the ''Housekeeper's Spread." The dinner was served in six courses and

was pronounced by all present to be the j best of all the many good spreads given - by this club. Iri the evening cinch was played and the prizes, a silver meat fork and fancy deck of cards, were won by Mrs. George Fisher and Dr. Allen Salisbury. The guests left with regret and Agrith a common wish that there would eoon be another. Mrs. Harvey Swartz is on the sick list and when last heard from was quite ill and suffering considerably.
