The market for turkers continued depressed. It now seems that the higli prices predicted for this fowl will not be realized. Owing to the financial stringency the consumption of turkeys so far has been considerably smaller than a year ago, and for this reason stores on South Water street are piled up high with fowl nnd dealers are now bending all their efforts to dispose of these consignments. New York.- The re-appearance of liquidation on every rally Is only what should be expected in view of existing conditions. Our opinion Is that the market will coninue irregular and that its best opportunities for speculative profits will be found in quick turns. Dick Brothers. For the near future there is no reason to apprehend financial disturbance or serious impairment of security values but other than Investment commitments cannot be encourager until the money market will permit calculations involving normal rates and dates for loans. Marshall-Spader & Co. Dow-Jones At the opening the market was quiet and heavy. There was a disposition to sag with no violent pressure. There was about the same kind of scattering liquidation which depressed the market on Monday. Traders were mostly bearish. Mop was among the weakest Issues of the early trading, failing to rally In spite of the expression of opinion in responsible quarters that the regular dividend would be maintained. The liquidation apparently has no connection with the dividend prospects whatever they may be. New York Central failed to respond to the advance In London where the marking up price of 96 for the settlement is equal to 93 3-S here. The early comment on the note Issue is that It may meet the most urgent needs, but it is quite insufficient for the large amount of finance which must be undertaken for the terminal work. Union lias a value according to the books of $150 a share at the minimum. If question of real value represented by Union could be arrived at accurately it would probably be found to be not less than $175 even if the collateral assets In Union treasury were figured on basis of current market quotations. Miller The market may back and fill for some time to come. Speculation Is at a low ebb and the bankers reserves here are seriously depleted, but we see. however, no money of consequence on the short side of the market and the rail stocks are worth so very much more than they are Felling for that we can only adhere to the opinion that they should be bought on every reaction. Drown The feeling Is much more confident as regards the financial situation but the market still lacks the stimulus of Important buying. Joseph Harriman shares and Pennsylvania are cheap. P.uy New York Central, around 91 Vi. Topics The renewed outbreak of liquidation and the practical lack of outside buying has served to dissipate the bullish hopes that had been aroused by the rally in stocks that took place Saturday. Dow-Jones & Co. American stocks in London quiet and mostly below parity. London settlement began today and quotations are now for new account. Iieported from Paris Bank of France will allow shipments of gold up to sixty million, but not more than four million a week. This may reduce issue of treasury certificates to a minimum. Canadian Pacific third week In November, $1,603,000, Inc. $225,000. From July 1. $32,233,904, Inc. $2,652,717. in November, From July 1, Wabash third week $46S.216. dec $36,504. $11,444,54-. inc. $77,742. Ridgeb" The market Is slowly re-

Who Is Dr. Ruckel? After a long course pf training in medical colleges and hospitals, Dr. Ruckel took up the practice of medicine at Freeport, illch.. in March, 1886. After three years of working day and n!(ght, he decided to move to a city and make a specialty of the most obstinate, long standing and severe diseases such as are usually unsuccessfully treated by the average family doctor. After taking a thorough course in the subjects to be followed, he located in Saginaw, Mich., where he enjoyed a very large patronage for a period of seven years. About this time he decided that South Chicago would be a better field on account of its thousands of well paid mechanics and accordingly moved here in May, 1897, and opened an office oyer the postoffice. To say that Dr. Ruckel has done much for the health of th, people of South Chicago and vicinity i3 putting it mildly. In hl3 ten and one-half years here, he has treated more than 6,500 different persons, as i3 shown ty his record, and among the above number has made many wonderful cures. Hundreds given up- by other eminent physicians to die, hare been cured by him. One of Dr. Ruckel'a methods that we haYe always thought Tery hightly of, is that he always explains fully to a patient just what his or her condition may be, and will tell them just what he can do for them, all without charge. If they prefer he will name the price including medicine for a complete cure, so they will know just what it i3 going to cost them. On account of his increased patronage. Dr. Ruckel has found it necessary to secure larger and better offices and was fortunate in finding Just what he wanted as the above notice indicates. Seme of the diseases treated by Dr. Kuckel are: Diseases peculiar to Men, Diseases peculiar to Women, Stomach Troubles, Hervous Diseases, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Blood Poison, Weak and Failing Memory, Constipation and Piles and in fact almost any disease when the patient can go to the office.
