Mrs. .Wentworth will remain the guest of Mrs. Smith for a few davs. The Young Ladies' Cooking club met last evening with Miss Fannie Ruhstailt at her home in Webb street, where Mrs. Hovver demonstrated a lesson on biscuit, beef stew, dumplings and escalloped pork. The next meeting will be held at the home of Miss Agnes Meikle in South Hohman street. The fair being held at Gardner's hall by the ladies of the German Evangelical church, was well attended again last evening. Several articles were raffled and a neat sum was realized for the day. The fair will continue the remainder of the week. The funeral services of Giles A Warner will take place tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock, leaving the house at that hour for the M. E. church where services will be conducted by Chaplain of the Post Rev. Elliott, assisted by Rev. Switzer. Interment will take place at Oak Hill cemetery. The whole service will be in the hands of the Wm. II. Calkins Post, 502 G. A. R and W. R. C. The Fidelia Singing society will hold a reception Sunday evening, Dec. 1, in Roth hall.
