Get Together for the Purpose of Protecting Their Interests.
Ths real estate men of Gary held a meeting yesterday afternoon at which practically every dealer was present for tho purpose of organizing the Gary real estate board. The purpose of the organization is to protect each other In their dealings and to as far as possible shut out the sharks and pirates who sell wild cat stuff on the "lly-by-night" order. Those primarily Interested are M. X. Castleman, George Baker, Herbert I). Jones of the firm of Castleman & Joes, A. B. Conery, D. K. "Walshim, Max IvVrschman, II. A. Townsley of Toleston, B. Walder and Robert Orosz, Dr. F. M. Jones, O. S. McGi nullity and W. G. Reiner of Kelner & Company, Albert Borman and Otto C. Itorrnan of Borman brothers and Walter Novak of the Big Three real estate company. They were all enthusiastic about the organization and will urge at the meeting of the town board this afternoon the adoption of an ordinance requiring the use of a license for any one engaging in the insurance or real estate business. T. V,'. Englehart of Rothschild & Company stopped off between trains this morning. He and Mr. Moody, also of the same firm, have leased thair recent purchases on Broadway south of the Wabash at a substantial figure and are to erect two buildings at once.
The Gary & Western railroad company has begun the excavation for the concrete abuttments for the elevated portion of the double tracks to pass over Broadway south of Tenth avenue. All of the right of way has been cleared and the work of building the elevated portions Is being rushed as rapidly as possible.

R S. Blome & Company have practically completed the repairing of its narrow guage track on Broadway, and will begin the work of paving Fifth avenue the early part of next week.
The bricklayers on the hotel building resumed work this morning after being out on a two day's strike, on account of a disagreement with the contractors, the Clark Construction company.
The concrete curbing on Main street was finished last evening and all is
now in readiness for the contractors,

The wires in the fire alarm system are broken, and crippling the system for the west end of the town. The firemen have been searching for two days, but as yet are unable to locate
