LAKE COUNTY TIMES will send twelve young ladies to the Jamestown Exposition, and every cent of expense the time of leaving home until the return, will be paid by this paper. A Pullman Car -"The Times Special"-will convey the party to Norfolk and return. The party will be chaperoned by a prominent Hammond lady and accompanied by two experienced Gentlemen, representatives of this paper, who will have entire charge of the trip and entertainment features.

RIan of Contest Every young lady who i3 a resident of Lake County Calumet Region is eligible to compete in the contest. They must, however, be nominated by two reliable citizens, who will vouch for the candidates good character. Candidates may nominate themselves or their friends may do so for them. Read over the list of districts. Determine which one you or your friend is in, and send in your nomination. The rules of the contest are very simple. The list of nominations will be published on or about April 10th, and it is necessary, therefore, that you determine your candidate without delay.

Plan of Nomination Territory outside of Hammond will be divided into 7 districts, Hammond will be one district and entitled to 5 popular ladies for the trip, the young lady in each district receiving the highest number of votes will be entitled to the trip. In addition the 4 young ladies receiving the next highest votes in District No. 1 will be taken on the trip, 7 to go out of town districts and 5 to Hammond district No. 1. Paid in advance subscriptions will be entitled to vote in proportion to the length of time subscriptions are paid.

RULES OF CONTEST Candidates must be properly nominated by two reliable citizens who will vouch for the candidate. Any young lady so nominated is eligible, provided the rules of the contest are complied with. f Candidates must reside in the districts in which they

are nominated, and in the event of removal or with-drawal the votes already received will be forfeited. No transferring of votes will be allowed after they are once counted. 3. The right is reserved to amend these conditions, or to withdraw the offer in any district where only one candidate is nominated or voted for.

Ballots sent in for names not properly nominated will be returned to the sender and an opportunity given to vote them for nominated candidates. Special ballots will be furnished on all paid-in-advance subscriptions received by a representative of THE TIMES or sent to this office. Paid-in-advance subscriptions will be delivered in the city and suburbs and in any districts covered by the TIMES carrier service when paid for at carrier rate. All other subscriptions will be sent by mail.... No employe of The TIMES or member of the employe's family will be eligible in the contest. Any successful candidate shall have the right to name a substitute subject to our approval in the event she is unable to accompany the party for any reason. Questions or controversies will be settled by The TIMES alone and in accepting the nomination each candidate agrees to accept and abide by the conditions and rules.

The basis after the first month will be two votes for every cent and during the third month one vote for every cent. Paid-in-advance subscriptions must be sent to Times Circulation Dept. or paid to the regular representative of the paper, who will issue receipts with the voting coupons attached.

THE LAKE COUNTY TIMES JAMESTOWN EXPOSITION NOMINATING BLANK One of these nominatiing blanks must be received for each candidate before she can be voted for. Nominate your Candidate, or if any Young Lady desires to enter the race she may do so by having the Nomination Blank signed by Two Business or Professional Men. Look at the Districts. Decide which one you are in, or your Friends, and get them working for you, as you may be one of the party.
