Brown Anniversary. Mrs. Allison P. Brown was delightfully surprised at her home last night In White Oak avenue by about fifty of her friends. It was the twentieth anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Brown and Mr. Brown, with the aid of a few friends, successfully planned and executed the surprise. The crowd arrived a little after 8 o'clock and after Mrs. Brown's excitement subsided from the shock she' set about to find means of entertainment. Several different games were played and each one present was asked to give a rhyme congratulating Mr. and Mrs. Brown. Late in the evening a very elaborate lunch was served. Mr. and Mrs. Brown were presented with a set of HavIIand dishes and twenty pink carnations, the club's flower. Rev. Everett. In a few appropriate words, made the presentation speech. After spending a most pleasant evening the guests departed wishing Mr. and Mrs. Brown many n-.ore, such happy evenings and years of prosperity.

Killed at Steel Plant. Wladyslow Shinagoski, a Polish laborer, aged 40, was instantly killed at the steel company's plant yesterday when he was caught between a coal conveyor and a brick wall. The unfortunate man's body was crushed and the remains were taken to the undertaking rooms of Thos. C. Murphy, 110 Ninety-second street. A coroner's jury rendered a verdict of accidental death.

A little child of three years of age was picked up yesterday morning by Chief Lawler while roaming aimlessly around the street. He took it to his home, and about 3 o'clock in the after
noon, it was found to be the child of John Bunt3chuh of Robertsdale, and
its parents were much relieved by locating it, as they thought the child
had been kidnaped.

The launch was made a little after
12 o'clock, and Mrs. n. A. v niiams, wife of an official of the Cleveland of
fice of the Steampship company, which is a branch of the United States Steel
corporation christened the boat.
The Lynch Is 600 feet in length, 32
feet deep" and 53 feet in beam, the hull being built entirely of steel. The boat will be used In the ore carrying trade between the iron mines of the Lake Superior region and Cleveland.

John Taylor and Robert Brown, two youths claiming New York City as their home, were discharged from the municipal court today. They were arrested by Special Agent Stanley Slivinskl of the Pennsylvania railroad whila loitering about the depot waiting for a freight train. Kaismlr Barancik and Herman Frank two Junk dealers, were arrested in connection with the case of the six youths accuse of stealing brass and copper from the Illinois Steel company.
