Proof Found In Kruya Inquest Glre Police a Xw Line to Work On Coroner's Jury's Verdict Is Ucuth lly Violence. The coroner's Jury sitting on the case of Walter Krupa, in the fifteenth precinct police station yesterday afternoon, found a verdict of death by vio
lence. The supplemented post-mortem examination of Dr. LeCount, of Rush Medical college, which was relied upon to establish certain facts regarding the mistreatment of the child before death, was not reported. The jury relied for their finding upon the testimony of the coroner's pyysiclan, who described the marks found upon the boy's body and declared that they were responsible for his death. The Jury recommended a search for and apprehension of a person or persons unknown by the police. The testimony establishing mistreatment was of a decisive character, and the opinion of the physician vas that the person responsible for it committed the murder and concealed the body.
"We are completely baffled in this Krupa case," said Police Captain
Storen of South Chicago this morning
"We are compelled to accept the opin
ion of the coroner's office and proceed upon the hypothesis of murder and mistreatment of the boy before
his death. The officers who were orig
inally detailed on the case are still working on it, but they are without the remotest clew as to the identity of the murderer."
The attention of Captain Storen was
called to conditions in the Austrian colony where Walter Krupa's body was
found, and the statement of a pnysician of South Deering that Incidents
in his practice indicated the presence
of men in the colony vho were guilty of unnatural crimes. An investigation of these conditions will probably be
begun by the police with the idea of fastening the mistreatment and death of the Krupa boy on some of the men spoken of by the South Deerin r physician.

The five Italians arrested by the police of the Sixteenth precinct station on suspicion of being members of a Black Hand organization three of whom were identified by Dominic Faleo of South Deering as the men who approached him in Kurz's drug store. 106th street and Torrence avenue, in a threatening manner, were discharged for lack of evidence in the South Chicago municipal court this morning. Faleo got cold feet when he appeared in court and the most incriminating testimony he gave was to the effect that Vincenzo de Fasqual. Angelo Dominic and Carmino de Micku called him "a rabbit" and declared that he was good game for them. The men asserted that the conversation was in relation to a rabbit that was on the bill of fare in the boarding house
where they lived. Landolazzo Carro and Thomas Sargozio, who were arrested on suspicion by Sergeant Pearson, were lined $25 and costs for carrying concealed weapons. Both men bore wicked looking clasp knives when arrested and one had a loaded 3S-caliber revolver. All five men were taken to the bureau of identification today by Lieu-
tfm.mt Ttvnn. who desired to learn if
they were wanted in any other city
on similar charges to the one prefer-
ed by Faleo.
