Next Thursday, June 28 another wedding is to be added to the many that have taken place during this month. Matt Quinn one of the popuyoung men of the Hammond Elevator company and Miss Amelia Schoop of Lansing Ind. will be the bridal pair. The wedding is to take place in the morning at All Saints church. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Quinn will leave for eastern points in this country then to Canada and among the Thousand Isle the former home of Mr. Quinn. They will return to Hammond by Septem1st.

John Newcomb living on Fayette asked the police to disperse a crowd of hoboes that had gathered at the Oklahoma saloon.

Saturday evening at 6:30, at the home of V. S. Reiter in Homewood, Mrs. V. S. Reiter and Mrs. W. G. Paxton entertained the members of the Columbia club and their husat dinner. Covers were laid for forty. The color scheme being yellow the rooms were decorated throughout with yellow ribbons and flowers and was lighted with canwith yellow shades. Later in the evening prizes at cards were won by Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Manchee and Mrs. J. McDermott and Peter Crumpacker.
