STOLEN CAR LEFT HERE

A 1939 Dodge sedan was found near the Kaper warehouse on the east edge of town one morning last week. Investigation proved the vehicle had been stolen and apparently discarded here, after much “road burning.” The car is the property of a Mi*. Cress of Terre Haute, Indiana. He and Mrs. Cress were in town Monday to claim their property, but left it in Cheever’s garage rather than attempt’ to drive it home. Several Indiana State Police and special investigators were in town Tuesday, together with Sheriff Webb and Deputy Sheriff Ivan Cheever for further check up and investigation.
