DeMotte Man Dies Following Heart Stroke
Fritz Wagenaar, Native Of The Netherlands, Succumbs This Morning; Rites Friday Fritz Wagenaar, a resident of DeMotte for 15 years, died suddenly at eight o’clock Tuesday morning following a heart seizure. His health had not been good for five years but his death came unexpectedly. A native of The Netherlands, Mr. Wagenaar worked for the Swift Packing Plant in Hammond until fifteen years ago when he went to DeMotte to lead a retired life. / Mr. Wagenaar was born in The Netherlands January 12, 1878, a son of Anton and Gezina (Amsa) Wagenaar. He came to America during his early adult life. He was married to Miss Nellie Hos June 8, 1920. Surviving besides the wido\s is a niece, Mrs. A. Van Leewen of Rochester, N. Y., and a nephew, Marius Ringnalda, of Prospect Park, N. Y. The funeral services will be held from the American Reformed church of which the deceased was a member, Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock. The Rev. Tunis Miersma will be in charge. Interment will be at Holland cemetery. The remains are at Todd’s Funeral Home in DeMotte.
