CHILD DIES
Chicago, Dec. 7.—Patty Owens died at 3:10 p.m. (C.S.T.) today. The four-year-old girl had been undergoing an emergency operation on her windpipe. Dr. Harry C. Poncher, head of the pediatricts department at Illinois Research hospital, said “she just couldn’t get enough air.” Patty, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Owens, had been brought to Chicago yesterday from California for what was believed to be her last_Christmas.
