MISSIONARY FROM INDIA TO SPEAK

Miss Esther DeWeerd, missionary from India will speak to a union Women’s group Thursday afternoon, December 8, at 2 o’clock at the American Reformed Church of DeMotte. A special Missionary Rally Night for the young people is being planned with Miss DeWeerd. She will speak and show slides concerning the interesting and challenging work Thursday evening at 7:30 p m. Following her graduation from Hope College, Miss DeWeerd went to India in 1928 where she was engaged in educational and evangelistic work in the Beattie Memorial Training School as well as in Velore. She has been in charge, of the Girl’s Industrial Institute in Palnianer and has taken ever Charlotte Wyehoff’s famous village work while Chailotte Wychoff was on furlough. Miss DeWeerd conies to us with a vast range of personal experiences. l All women of the community are welcome to attend the afternoon session and all Young People are invited to be present at the evening meeting.
