Ely, her brother and wife of Montpelier, Indiana, motored to Philadelphia, Penn., last week where they attended the Army-Navy game, then drove to Annapolis, Md., and spent the week end with the Ely’s son, Midshipmen Wm. Ely Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Art Schoonveldt and children of Holland, Michigan, spent the holidays with their parents. v* Kenneth Heimlich, Harry Kapa, Martie Hoffman and Jim Coffer attended the Livestock show Wednesday.

Thanksgiving day guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Mills of Indiana Gardens were Mrs. May Nolte and sons Louis and Richard of Chicago and River Forest. Mr, a’nd Mrs. Norman Valentine and son, Dean, of Michigan City were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Andree and son on Thanksgiving day. Mrs. Essie Erwin of Chicago is here visiting her sister, Mrs. Florence Curtin, Mrs. Mae Erwin and Saddie Fairchild. Mary Kessinger has been unable to teach the last week because of illness. Mrs. Hallahan from Rensselaer, is substituting for her. Mary Lou Ewart spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A 1 Ewart. Mrs. Thomas Abbring and Mrs. Paul Bauman were Gary shoppers on Monday.
