The Keener Home Economics dub held their picnic at Bass Lake last Friday. Fourteen members and eleven children met in front of the telephone office and drove to the State Park at the lake. . When we arrived even though it was early noon, everyone decided they were hungry and so a picnic lunch was put out. It was surprising when everyone just brought one or two things, hut when all was put on a table, just what a lot of food and variety there is. The afternoon was spent playing games, swimming and just enjoying ones self. This is the first picnic our Home Ec. club has had but I think everyone went home thinking they had had a very enjoyable day and hoping that it can he a yearly event. Mr. and Mrs. Casper Belstra and two daughters are visiting their daughter and husband, Sgt. and Mrs. Riley in Georgia this week.
