HARRY BIERMA

Services were held jfoj Harry Bierma, age 69, at 1 p.m. last Saturday in the Chapel at 5501 N. Ashland Ave. Burial was—in Rosehill celnetery, where veterans of the Spanish-American war conducted military rites. Mr. Bierma died Wednesday evening, August 3rd in St. Francis hospital in Evanston of a heart attack, where he had gone early that afternoon for observation. He was an attorney in Chicago, until his retirement three years ago when he and his wife, Mabel H. Bierma, nee Williamson, moved to DeMotte. The deceased was Past Master of Hesperia Lodge No. 441, A. F. and A. M., Past Patron of Majestice Chapter of Columbia Camp No. 2, United Spanish War Veterans. Surviving are his widow, Mabel; a son, Harry Jr., of- Chicago, a sister, Mrs. Grace Felthouse of DeMotte; a brother Nicholas Bierma of Oak Park, and two grand children of Chicago. The sudden death of this estimable gentleman, who made so many friends in this community in the short time he had made his home here, came as a great shock to the communitv.
