WINS PLACE OF HONOR

J ive students from .Jasper County ivere among 1,800 to win a place c>n the distinguished student list at Purdue University for the second semester of the academic year ending June 30, according to the list released from the office of C. E. Dammon, registrar and director of admissions. Fifty-three students attained a perfect six-point rating, making Ihe highest possible grade in each subject carried. To attain a place on the distinguished student list, a student must attain a grade point index average of five or better in all subjects carried during the semester. Jasper County students attaining this honor are as follows: Wayne W. Sommers, R. R. 2, and Roy C.. Elrod, both of Remington. Thompson G. Murray, 208 Park Avenue, and Carolyn C. Coen, R. R. 4, both of Rensselaer; Paul Hoffman, DeMotte.
