Ex-Teacher At DeMotte Dies In Chicago
Harry Bierma Stricken By Heart Attack Passes Away Within Few Minutes Harry Bierma, 70, who taught school at DeMotte about fifty years ago, died in Chicago Wednesday soon after being stricken by a heart attack. He had been in ill health for a year and a half. The remains were removed to the Lane Funeral Home in that city. Mr. Bierma had been in business retirement for a number of years. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American war. Surviving are the widow, a son, Harry Bierma, Jr., of Chicago, a brother, Nicholas Bierma of Oak Park, 111., and a sister, Mrs. John Fieldhouse, of DeMotte. The funeral services and burial rites will be conducted in Chicago.
