Mrs. Harry Lane Of Tefft Dies Saturday A. M.

Death Of Well Known North County Lady Follows 7-Weeks Illness; Rites Tuesday Mrs. Hulda Lane, wife of Harry Lane and a resident of Tefft community for many years, died at 11 o’clock Saturday morning following an extended decline. Seven weeks ago her illness assumed serious stage and since then she had failed rapidly. Mrs. Lane was born near San Pierre October 27, 1882, a daughter of August and Caroline (Smith) Will. She continued to live in the community of her birth until her marriage to Harry Lane in Rensselaer on December 29, 1919, since which time she had lived in Tefft. No children were born to the marriage. Surviving besides her husband are the following brothers and sisters, F. R. Will of San Pierre, W. A. Will of Tefft, Arthur Will of Pubelo, Colo., Mrs. Emma W’heaton of Denver, Colo., John Will of Whiting and Mrs. Bertha Nagel of Pueblo, Colo. Mrs. Lane was well known and highly esteemed. Her death came as a great shock to her many friends throughout northern Jasper and neighboring counties. ‘‘She was a lady of lovely character who did much to bring happiness to her community. The funeral services will be conducted from San Pierre Evangelical church at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, August 2nd., with the Rev. George St. Angelo officiating. Burial will be at San Pierre cemetery. The remains were taken to Todd’s Funeral Home and later to the residence.
