SACRED TOADS
Clovis, N. M., July 28. A law against molesting horned toads in New Mexico has stopped A 1 Sasser of Clovis from promoting horned toad races for the children. The little spitting animals are useful as eaters of ants and other insects.
Doris Van Meerten, Mary Swart, Jane Zeck and Fay Ockermann are at Camp at Battle Ground, Indiana, this week. This is the Methodist summer camp. Miss Nola Webster and Jim Rowen of Washington, D. C., visited Jim’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Rowen the past week.
