AUXILIARY PREPARES FOR NATIONAL CONVENTION
Extensive preparations are going forward in Philadelphia to entertain thousands of women of the American Legion Auxiliary from every part of the country who will attend the Auxiliary’s twentyninth national convention,- to be held there August 29 to September 1, according to information received by Mrs. Fred Boissy, President of the local Auxiliary Unit. Large committees of Pennsylvania Auxiliary women are at work on convention preparations under the leadeship of Mrs. John Owens, of Germantown, General Chairman. Business sessions, will be held in Irvine Auditorium at the University of Pennsylvania, while Auxiliary headquarters will be in the Benjamin Franklin Hotel. The national convention of the American Legion will be in session in Philadelphia at the same time, and a joint session of the two organizations ~ will be held on the opening, day. . . <■
