Officers Elected By County Rural Youth Club Tuesday Evening I Ralph Hite of Barkley Town-! ghiri, was elected president of the i jasper County Rural Y r outh Club at their annual election held Tuesday evening, July 19, at Kninian. Other officers elected were as follows: Harry Miller, San Pierre, vice-president; Wanda List, Rensselaer. secretary-treasurer; Bethel gtath. publicity director; Boh Walter Marion township, recreation leader; Ralph Rockwell, Urn ion Township; Marilyn Sauer, Keener Township; and Wade gtath, directors of the board. The recreation leader and the directors were elected to a two year term of ofice. Retiring officers are: Harry Miller, president; Ralph Hite, vice-president; Mary Rockwell. secretary-treasurer; Helen Stath publicity. The newly elected officers will be installed in December. During the business meeting plans were made to have a food stand at the county fair, August 16 to 20. Jim Hollahan of the Farm Bureau Co-Op asked the club to help with their Barb-B-Q to be held September 10. A report on the softball game played with Benton County was given. Jasper County won 13 to 18. This makes the local team eligible for the district

championship. They will play Cass County to determine the district winner. It was announced that the Rural Youth Training School will be held at Purdue, August 9 to 12. The 1950 newly elected officers will attend. Sixty-two membe*rk and guests attended the meeting.
