Evelyn Hoffman Is Bride Of John Dykhuizen

Miss Evelyn Hoffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hoffman of rural route 2, Wheatfield, became the bride of Mr. John Dykhuizen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Dykhuizen Sr., of Fair Oaks, at eight o'clock this Tuesday morning. The double ring ceremony was performed before a flower banked alter, in candlelight. by the Rev. Frederic Dolfin in the First Reformed church of DeMotte. The bride was lovely in a white satin bridal gown with train. She wore a finger tip veil with pearl orange blossoms and carried a white Bible and white camellias. She csfme down the aisle on the arm of her father as Mrs. Dolfin played the wedding march* Mis. George Hoffman, sister of the bridegroom was bridesmaid Her gown was of peach net over peach taffeta. Her corsage was of vaiigated carnations. Wm. Hoffman, of Hebron, brothel of the bride was best man. Mrs. Wm. Hoffman sang “Because" and “O Promise Me.” The bridegroom chose a light tan gabardine business suit. Ushers were Andrew Hamstra and Robert Hamstra. After the wedding a reception was held in the church basement for approximately 25 relatives and friends. Mrs. Dykhuizen is a graduate of DeMotte high school, having graduated with the class of 1946. Mr. Dykhuizen attended Fair Oaks high school. They will make their home near Fair Oaks, where the bridegoom is engaged in farming with his father.
