DEMOTTE UNIT 440 RECEIVES THANK YOU FROM GIRL STATERS

Bloomington, Ind. Girl’s State July 2, 19491 Dear Auxiliary, We are having a very nice time at Girl’s State. Everyone is so nice and there is so much to do that you can’t possibly get lonesome. There are four hundred and eighty girls here and everyone is having a wonderful time. It gives us a special opportunity to meet other girls and learn about the places they come from. Like everything else the food is excellent and is prepared by expert dieticians. Our counsellors are very helpful in explaining everything to us. They are very nice friends to have. We would like to thank you for the wonderful opportunity you have given us in selecting us to come to such a marvelous place. If we don’t know how the government is run when Girls State closes, it is our own fault. Everything is explained in detail. It has been a wonderful opportunity, and we would like to thank the American Legion Auxiliary for giving us rw chance to better ourselves for future years. I am sure we shall never forget our wonderful experience. Thank you again. Sincerely,

Marcella Nuss and Edna DeFries.
