PHIL VAN MEERTEN IN HOSPITAL

Mr. Phil Van Meerten was taken to the Jasper county hospital last Saturday, where he has been receiving blood transfusions and other medical treatment, preparatory to a major operation this morning (Wednesday).

Mr. and Mrs. Al Roorda and sons, Jake and Albert and Miss Alberta Klemp were in Milwaukee, Wisconsin over the weekend, where they attended the wedding of John Roorda, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Roorda.
