NEW TREE GROWS IN GREENSBURG

Greensburg, Ind., July 7. A great-grandchild to the first tree to grow atop the 117-foot tower on the courthouse here in 1870 has been discovered. The tiny seedling, four feet away from its forerunner, was spotted by Isaac Minary, courthouse custodian. Local observers, using binoculars, report it appears to be about one foot high. Since 1870 big tooth aspen trees have come and gone from the top of the tower, gaining worldwide attention for this city.
