CONFESSED THIEF HANGS SELF IN JAIL
Jasper, Ind., June 28. A few hours after he confessed to wholesale theft of goods from the Madison State Hospital early today, Jesse Knight, 45, a former attendant, hung himself in the Dubois County jail here. Knightâs body was found suspended by a makeshift rope made from a mattress while authorities were on their way to the jail to take him to Madison to face grand larceny charges.
