TRUMAN TO SIT OUT CONGRESS
Washington, June 29. President Truman is going to sit out Congress if it takes all summer. And from the .looks of things now, it is going to take just that. The White House is estimating that Congress will not adjourn for the summer until around Sept. 1. Speaker Rayburn insisted today: “We are going to stay here until we finish the job.” But with the temperature in Washington hitting the 90’s day after day, many Congressmen insist they are going home around the first of August. Rev. and Mrs. Archibald and son attended an Epworth League reunion at M aterford, Indiana, last Sunday. Rev. Archibald started the league at this church when he was pastor there.
