LEGION PRESENTS FLAG TO CUB SCOUTS

The Cub Scout Pack 57 of DeMotte celebrated their first birthday Monday evening, June 20, at the local school gymnasium. Mr. Wally Christensen of Harrison Trails Council. Lafayette, Indiana, presented the Pack Charter to Mr, Bruce Todd American Legion Representative from Post 440. The American Legion sponsored the Cub Scouts last year and will do so again this' year. Mr, Todd in behalf of the legion presented a beautiful large silk American flag to the Cubs. After a short program by the four dens a lunch of ice cream, and cake was served.
