WRITES FROM HOOSIER BOY’S STATE

The following is a letter received from Russell J. Hunter, who is at Hoosier Boy’s State, Indianapolis. He is sponsored by the local American Legion Post 440. “Dear Sponsor: I want you' to know how much I appreciate being able to attend Hoosier Boy’s State. I think that it is one of the greatest things that the American Legion sponsors. We have very fine quarters and an excellent auditorium in which to meet. The meals are the best that I have ever eaten away from home and if we don’t get enough to eat it is our own fault. We have political school and general assembly in the morning and political and special schools in the afternoon with general assembly after supper. We are fortunate in having very fine instructors in our classes and excellent speakers and entertainers at our general assemblies. I am in the band, under the direction of Charles Henzie. I am learning a great deal playing under him and I enjoy it very much. Thanks again for this opportunity and I hope that I can fullfill my obligation to you and my country and community. Yours truly,

Russell J. Hunter.”
