North Marion

The North Marion Happy Homes club met June 2 at the home of Mrs. Anna Wiles with Laura Nagel and Eva Todd, co-hostess-es. There were 21 members and 1 visitor present. The meeting was opened by the club president, Mrs. Lona Zimmer, The song of the month was sung, the pledge to the- flag given and the creed given. Plans were made for the annual picnic to be held in July at Faye Wisemans home. Viola Martin received the hostess prize. Dorthea Stotler read a humorous playlet. Three cards were sent to the ill. The remainder of the afternoon was spent in a social way. North Carpenter Home Ec. The North Carpenter Home Economics club met at the home of Mrs. Mark May on June 8. There was thirteen members and one visitors present. The song of the month, was sung; pledge to the flag was made; and the home economics creed was said. A nickel collection was taken. The hostess prize was won by Audrey Sheldon. A lesson on law was given by Laura Alberts and Janet Adamson. Our president, Janet Adamson, gave the lesson on textile painting. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Frieda Burns with a lesson on deep freezing.
