State University To Confer Largest Number Of Degrees In Single Year Of Institution Fourteen students from Jasper county are listed in this year’s graduating class at Indiana University, it was announced today by registrar Charles E. Harrell. The university’s graduates total 3,865, the largest number ever to receive their degrees from the University in a single year. Of the total, 2,854 will receive their degrees at the commencement ceremonies Sunday, June 12, at 6 p.m., DST. Work will be completed in August by 1,011 who will participate in Sunday’s commencement and be considered in this year’s class. War veterans compose 60 per' cent of the class, which is dominantly Hoosier with every county in the state represented.
