Herbert Tyler Dies In California

Native Of DeMotte Succumbs To Coronary Thrombosis May 25th Herbert Tyler, a native of DeMotte where his boyhood and early manhood were spent, died at Santa Anita, Calif., on Wednesday, May 25th, relative at DeMotte have been advised. His death came suddenly following a heart seizure. Burial was at Santa Monica, Calif. Mr. Tyler was born in DeMotte, a son of Jess Tyler and Eva Tyler. He was about fifty years of age. After leaving DeMotte, Mr. Tyler went to Chicago, and a few years later- he left Chicago to establish residence in Los Angeles. Surviving are his wife, a former Valparaiso girl, and a son, Richard, and an uncle, Joseph Tyler of Medinah, 111. His parents died when he w*as quite small and he was reared in the home of his uncle, the late W. C. Tyler, of DeMotte. Mr. Tyler operated Westwood Colonial Home, a hotel, in Santa Anita, which he erected.
