DEMOTTE LEGION AUXILIARY TO HAVE BAKE SALE

DeMotte Unit 440, American Legion Auxiliary will have a bake sale on Saturday, May 7, at the H. C. DeKock store. Unit members are earnestly requested to bring in their home baked goodies from 10 a.m. on. To our many Auxiliary friends who wish to contribute any form of their home baked delicies, these too will be greatly appreciated. The purpose of this bake sale is to raise funds for our nearly depleted treasury. DeMotte Unit have sponsored two high school girls, who will attend “Girls State, plus a “Poppy Poster Contest in which Art students of our DeMotte school took part under the capable supervision of Miss Mary E. Rolling'; Art director of DeMotte High School. Awards and winners will be published at a later date. Service sales craft, made by our disabled and hospitalized veterans will also be on display in conjunction with our bake sale. Mrs. Inez Osburn is chairman of the bake sale and our President, Mrs. Mildred Boissy, will have charge of service sales
